*Fireplace renovations can have more space constraints than tile renovations and the configurations are endless. By changing the tiles blanks to 8 x 6, the height can be increased or decreased in 6-inch increments. Leaving a slightly larger outside border allows widths to be adjusted at install time. The turquoise peacock fireplace brighten an Arts & Crafts sitting room on Loch Earn in Scotland. The colors of the De Morgan carnation border were adjust to work with the peacocks. I very much like the owner's re-use of the copper from the original fireplace. The copper works so well with the turquoise.
